Recipe for Dosa, Aloo Palya and peanut chutney. Dosa Batter
- Dosa rice -2 glasses
- Salem kusubalakki ( boiled rice)-3/4 th glass
- Urad dal -3/4 th glass
- Chana dal-1/4 th cup ( 1 fist)
- Thoor dal -1/4th cup ( 1 fist)
- Methi seeds-1 tbsp
- Avalakki ( Beaten Rice-1/2 cup)
Soak all the above ingredients for 6 to 8 hrs. 10 mins before you grind these into paste, add soaked Avalakki (beaten rice-1/2 cup) and grind it together. Allow the batter to ferment overnight Add Salt to taste Water as needed. Peanut chutney
- Fry Groundnuts separately using 1 tbsp oil
- Fry red chillies (8-10),Jeera (1/2 tbsp), Garlic (5-6 pods) with 1 tbsp oil for 1 min
- Transfer the fried items in a mixie jar
- Add grated coconut ,1 inch tamarind, little water & grind them into chutney.
- For tadaka: Add oil , half tea spoon of each of these: Mustard seeds, Chana dal, Uraddal, Jeera & Curry leaf
Aloo Palya
- Heat the Kadai
- Add oil
- half tea spoon of each of these: Mustard seeds, Chana dal, Uraddal, Jeera & Curry leaf
- Add green chillies (5 nos)
- Sauté them for a minute
- Add boiled potatoes
- Cook & mix it well
- Salt to taste
- Garnish with grated coconut and coriander.
